Jamelia Johnson, a radiant soul, departed this world on November 19, 2023, in Flower Mound, Texas. Born on March 16, 1972, to Willie Houston Ford Jr. and Carolyn Adams Ford in Midland, Texas, Jamelia's life was a tapestry woven with threads of love, faith, and unwavering devotion.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at Relevant Life Church in Lewisville, TX, with Pastor Anthony Cox officiating—a tribute befitting a woman whose life was a testament to faith and community.

Jamelia's journey with Christ began in her early years at Hollowell Community Methodist Church in Midland, TX. She continued her spiritual path as a member of the Potter's House, Oasis, and Gateway Church upon relocating to Flower Mound. A 1990 graduate of Midland Lee High School, Jamelia dedicated her life to being a loving wife and mother to her three children.

Her warmth and infectious spirit were felt by all who knew her. Jamelia's love extended beyond her immediate family; she became a mother figure to every child she encountered. With over 25 years in the Banking and Mortgage industry, she not only excelled professionally but also earned the endearing title of the "Mayor of Flower Mound" for her boundless community spirit.

Jamelia was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Arthur Lee and Cardelia Adams; fraternal grandparents, Willie and Ellie Ford Sr.;  fathers; Willie Houston Ford, Jr. and Booker T. Lott Sr.; Uncles: Freddy Adams and Glynn Adams; mother-In-Law, Mrs. Marilyn Johnson, and father-in-law, Radell Johnson.

She leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts of her beloved husband Rodney Johnson, daughters Petriah Johnson (Jameel), and Jasmyn Johnson (David), and son Joshua Johnson, all of Flower Mound, Texas. Her legacy lives on through her parents, Thomas and Carolyn Eiskhati, brothers Anthony Adams (Terri), Aaron Eiskhati (Monica), sister Rael Eiskhati Young (Michael), grandsons Jayce and Jordan Lewis, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members and friends.

Jamelia's impact on the world was profound, and the echoes of her laughter and love will resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we say our goodbyes, let us also celebrate the beautiful life of Jamelia Johnson—a beacon of love, kindness, and community spirit. May her soul find eternal peace in the embrace of the Divine.
