It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved son Kobe Kreps left this world much too early at the age of 18, on January 6th, 2024, in Destin, Florida.  He was a bright light and will forever missed.

Kobe was born on June 9th, 2005 in Plano, Texas, to proud parents Danny and Whitney Kreps. He grew up in the Lake Dallas area and had an amazing childhood.  When he was young, there was nothing he loved more than playing outside with his friends, going on hikes, and catching critters.  He had tremendous energy that brought laughter and smiles everywhere he went.

As Kobe got older, he developed a love for music and racked up many miles just driving around listening to his favorite playlist.  We always knew exactly when he got home because his music would blare through the garage walls.  He was a true people person, and loved the company of others, especially hanging out with his friends.  Kobe had a spontaneous love for adventure.  He enjoyed going on trips to the beach and mountains, spending time outdoors, playing basketball, card games, and so much more.

Kobe gave his life to Christ and was baptized on June 19, 2016.  Over the last two years he battled depression and more recently addiction, but he never lost sight of the important things in life… God, family, and friends.

Kobe had a style that perfectly matched his personality.  He collected all things unique, and had many one-of-a-kind pants, shirts, hoodies, and shoes. More than anything else in this world, he loved his sisters, Zoe and Zuri.  He often provided parenting advice to us but most importantly, he always wanted to protect them.  He was the greatest "Bubba" that we could ever ask for.

He worked at Airborne Trampoline Park for the past three years, and he truly felt at home there among his friends.  Here, he could also pursue his other passion, flipping and performing tricks.  Kobe was a recent graduate of Guyer High School and was looking forward to traveling, being independent, and venturing into the world.

Kobe's departure leaves a void that can never be filled, yet his legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all of us fortunate enough to know him. We have lost a beautiful soul and words cannot describe how much we will miss him.

Kobe leaves behind his two sisters, Zoe and Zuri Kreps, his mother and father, Whitney and Danny Kreps, his nana Linda Dupler, grandma Lois Kreps, cousins Lindsey and Tyler Moore, Brendan and Wesley Mueller, and Molly and Ben Mueller, Aunts and Uncles, Jason and Mariel Mueller, Jeremy and Meagan Mueller, Kelly and David Erikson, and Randy Kreps.  He is preceded in death by his Boppa, Dallas Kreps.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, January 20th, at 10:00am at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Chapel, located at 740 S. Edmonds Ln., Lewisville, TX 75067.  All are welcome.  A private graveside service for the family will immediately follow at Swisher Cemetery, located in Lake Dallas, TX.  Kobe loved vintage, unique, and comfortable clothing.  In honor of him, please wear your favorite hoodie, jeans, pajama pants, beanies, sneakers, or favorite article of clothing.

Kobe had a deep desire to help others.
