Kennedy Warioba Mazara, Jr., affectionately known as "Junior," passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, at the age of 31.

Born on June 12, 1995, in Abilene, Texas, to Rehema and Kennedy Mazara, Junior was a gentle soul with a brilliant mind, an infectious laugh, and a heart big enough to embrace everyone around him. He was the tallest person in the room more often than not, but what people noticed most wasn't his height—it was his kindness, his humility, and the warmth he carried wherever he went.

Junior graduated from Guyer High School in Denton, Texas, before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Austin College in Sherman, Texas, and a Master of Science in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. At the time of his passing, he was pursuing his Ph.D. in Human Resources and Labor Relations at Michigan State University. His love of learning reflected his deep curiosity about people and his desire to make the world a better place.

Even as a child, Junior's joy was unmistakable. In fifth grade, he received the "Best Laughter" award, along with the encouragement to "keep smiling." He did exactly that. His laughter was contagious, his smile genuine, and his presence had a way of lifting the spirits of everyone around him.

Junior loved sports and was a walking encyclopedia of facts and trivia. Whether he was discussing a game, sharing an interesting fact, or diving into a thoughtful conversation, he always had something fascinating to say. And if the topic turned to the Dallas Cowboys, you could count on his unwavering loyalty. Through every season, every victory, and every heartbreak, he remained a faithful fan—proof that hope was simply part of who he was.

One of the greatest gifts Junior gave was his hugs. With his long arms and towering frame, his bear hugs made people feel safe, loved, and at home. He had a remarkable way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and accepted. His kindness was effortless, his compassion genuine, and his love for family and friends unmistakable.

Though his academic achievements were extraordinary, those who knew him best will remember something even greater: his character. They will remember his laughter, his generosity, his quiet strength, his curiosity, and the way he made every gathering brighter simply by being there.

Junior was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Shamsa, and his father.

He leaves behind his loving mother, Rehema his stepfather, Nkaina; his beloved partner, KP or Kristin Pribyl; his brother, Gideon Mazara; his grandparents, Rajnikant, Shamsa, and Dr. Gideon Mazara of Tanzania; along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish the privilege of knowing him.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 740 Edmonds Lane, Lewisville, Texas 75067. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton. The family will receive friends during the visitation at the funeral home.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, especially Dr. Demet Gokalp Yasar, and to the dedicated teams at Parkland Memorial Hospital and UT Southwestern Medical Center, with special appreciation to Dr. Alexandra Callan and Dr. Amy Jones. Your exceptional care, kindness, and compassion brought comfort to Junior and to all who loved him.

Although Junior's time with us was far too short, the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the memories he created will remain with us forever. His laughter will echo in our hearts, his kindness will continue to inspire us, and his love will never fade.
