Kazuko Schroeter died December 26, 2023.  The funeral will be a private ceremony.

Ms. Schroeter was born in Shiojiri, Japan 92 years ago.  She worked as a secretary for the United States Air Force at Tachikawa Air Base, Japan where she met her ex-husband Harold.  As a young bride she moved to America where her beloved "aunts" (by marriage) Dorothy, Ollie and Thelma opened their hearts and took her under their wings.  They showed her much kindness, love and taught her the "American way".  As a military spouse she moved frequently and after living many years in Aurora, Colorado made her final move to Texas to be near her daughter and son-in-law.

Kazuko enjoyed crocheting, sewing, flower arranging, watching Westerns, reading, cooking new and exotic foods, eating breakfast at IHOP and bacon!  She never met a dessert she didn't like!  No matter how full she was, she always had room for a piece of cake, a cookie, ice cream or a cream puff.  She delighted in trying new sweets and always insisted on sharing her treats.

Kazuko is survived by her children Ken (Maria) and Eileen (Sandy), her grandchildren Audrey and Luke, and her dog Buster (aka Zhou-Zhou).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you treat yourself to a special meal and dessert in her honor.
