Julie Ann Germain (Christopher), 63, of Flower Mound, Texas, passed away on January 26, 2026, at UTSW Clements University Hospital in Dallas, surrounded by her children.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on January 22, 1963, to Effie F. Christopher (Larkin) and the late William Clifford "Cliff" Christopher, during her father's Navy service, Julie was raised in De Soto, Missouri. She was celebrated amongst her friends and family for her lifelong pursuit of knowledge. She first attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, before transferring to Kansas State University, graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1986; in 1997, she earned her Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Texas Tech University; and she had recently returned to higher education, researching quantum computing for her doctorate in Computer Science at the University of North Texas.

Her keen pursuit of knowledge led Julie to enjoy a varied career and life – she excelled as an engineer, in technology sales, as a commercial Realtor, and in many teaching roles at colleges across Texas. Always acquiring new hobbies and organizing crafting time with friends, Julie participated enthusiastically in the challenges life brings, spreading the love of learning to others. She was warm and joyous, but also a fiercely independent and strong woman. She leaves a legacy of inspiring her children to find both joy and excellence in whatever they do, and we will miss her greatly.

In addition to her father, Julie was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Adrian Germain, who passed away last summer. Julie is survived by her mother, Effie, her brother, Greg (Margi), her children, Christopher Yost (Claire), Heather van der Dys (Richard), Adam Germain (Thu), and Todd Germain (Marilyn), and her two beloved grandchildren, Zoë van der Dys and Dax Germain and her nieces & nephew, Jake Christopher, Taylor Akkoseoglu (Sinan), and Lauren Christopher.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 11am to 1pm at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 704 S Edmonds, Lewisville, Texas 76067.
