Jo passed away peacefully on July 11, 2024, in her home at the age of 99. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend. Her kindness and humor touched the lives of all who knew her.

Jo was born in Chicago, Illinois on Christmas Eve in 1924 to Romeo and Amelia Cappetta.  She was the baby of 7 children.  With a big family she led a very active and fun-filled life with her siblings. She often told funny stories of when they were kids. She loved her parents and siblings dearly.

While working in a war plant Jo met the love of her life Herbert Rudolph.  They married on June 2, 1945.  They experienced many adventures in life.  They loved to travel and even bought and ran a gas station together.  After 67 years of marriage, he preceded her in death in February 2013.

Jo loved to volunteer.  She put in countless hours on top of her job to the Hospital, Catholic Nursing Home and Library. You can find a brick with her name on it at the Library in Mabank for the countless hours she volunteered.

Jo is survived by her daughter (Amy Caulk of Denton, TX), daughter/granddaughter (Joey Rawlins and husband Brian of Brock, TX), Granddaughter (Jessica and husband Sean of Nolanville, TX), grandson (Ben Caulk and wife Crystal of Piedmont, OK), 16 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father (Romeo Cappetta), mother (Amelia Cappetta) 6 siblings (Angelo, Gil, Pasquale, Frieda, Romeo, Edwardo) Husband (Herbert Rudolph), great grandson (Zachary Rawlins), and other family members.

A beacon of love and faith, she touched the lives of everyone she met.  She will be deeply missed but will forever be cherished in our hearts.

Grave side service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday July 18, 2024 at Swisher Cemetery in Lake Dallas.
