Joseph (Joe) Ramirez of Corinth, Texas was born March 19, 1954 in East Chicago, Indiana.  He peacefully passed away in his home, surrounded by family on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

Joe grew up in Hammond, IN in a very large family with 17 children.  He graduated from Hammond Tech High School in 1972, then Purdue University Calumet with a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, and many years later from Indiana University Northwest with a masters in Business Administration.  He was married to Mary Beth for 17 years and worked at US Steel for over 20 years.  He then married the love of his life, Lisa in 1999 and moved to Texas.  Before retirement, he was a contractor at Goodyear Tires in Lawton, OK. Joe was a devoted Christian and family man who spent much of his time helping others.  It didn't matter who or when, he was there.  He took pride in spending countless hours helping the elders of Northside Baptist Church with any task needed-yardwork, home repair or anything else that came up.

Joe is survived by his wife of 26 years, Lisa Ramirez, daughters Rebecca (Ryan) Martin of Lafayette, IN; April (Pete) Matis-Vargas of Crossroads, TX; Rebecca (Jonathan) Webb of Corinth, TX; grandchildren Ainsley, Noah, Alicia, Abbigale, Trenton, River, Madison, Emily and Andrew; great-grandchild Adelina; siblings Luis (Connie) Ramirez, Carmen (Eladio) Ramirez, Georgina (Angel) Ramirez, Felix (Maria Elena) Ramirez, Mary (Israel-deceased) Ramirez, Johnny (Mary) Ramirez, Susie Ramirez, Lulu (Johnny) Perez, Tommy Ramirez, Toni (Edwin) Giboyeaux, Elaine (Oscar) Martinez and Daniel (Arcilia) Ramirez, and sister-in-law Diana Ramirez.  He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family

Joe is preceded in death by his son, Christopher Ramirez, daughter Renae Wendi Matis, parents, Geronimo and Ramona Ramirez, sister Ana Luz Ramirez, and brothers Alfred Ramirez, Michael Ramirez and Steven Lopez.

Church service will be at 4pm on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Northside Baptist Church at 2000 N. Denton Rd, Carrollton, TX.  Private burial with family will be on a later date.
