John Thomas Masen was born on August 15, 1940, in Dallas, Texas, to John and Edna Masen. He attended the University of Houston and Sul Ross State University on a boxing scholarship. John began his career as a gunsmith and later founded John Masen Company and ASC Investment Casting Company.

John went home to be with our Lord on November 23, 2025. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents, and his son, Christopher Ryan.

He is survived by his wife, Linda, and his four daughters, Wanda Anderson, Melony Young, Johnna Redmon, and Dawn Parton, along with their spouses. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

John will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
