Jett Thomas Miller was born to Bob Miller and Shelly Stowers Miller on September 27, 1994, in Dallas, TX. He passed on February 25th, 2025.

Jett was named for his grandfather, JT. His parents wanted a name that began with the letter, J, and decided on Jett because of its uniqueness. The name fit him perfectly! He never stopped moving. In his younger years, he could always be found in the backyard riding in his Little Tike Cozy Coup, playing with his matchbox cars, dribbling basketballs, etc.

When Jett was very young, he had difficulty pronouncing his sister's name. He called her "Snay". Sam's nickname has stuck to this day!

Jett was quite the athlete. He excelled in both football and baseball. The most enjoyable football season was his freshman year at Flower Mound Marcus High School. The coaches loved giving him the "egg" again and again because he ran all over everyone. We called that season "The Jett Show."

As Jett got older, he became extremely interested in his grandfather who was a fighter pilot in the Vietnam Conflict. Jett read everything he could about his grandfather and even visited with fighter pilots who had flown with or knew Gene in DaNang. Jett was fascinated with his grandfather's combat jet. He learned all about the F-4 Phantom and could identify any variant and knew which ordinance it carried and the branches of the military that flew it.

Jett loved teaching. He earned his degree from Midwestern State University and taught 6th grade ELA at Shadow Ridge Middle School. He was much loved by his students too.

Jett loved music. He taught himself to play the keyboard as well as the drums. He started a drum club at his school and enjoyed sharing his love of drums with his students.

Jett loved fast cars and motorcycles. When he got his first teacher paycheck, he bought a Honda CBR600RR. This street-legal superbike gave him so much joy and his parents so much anxiety! His students loved when he rode it to school.

Jett loved his two dogs, Scout and Finn, and they adored him. The three of them enjoyed long walks together and playing fetch in the fields behind his childhood home.

Jett had the bluest eyes, the sweetest smile, and the kindest heart. He will be missed by so, so many people. His family and friends know he's at peace now and will cherish their memories of him forever.

Jett was preceded in death on his mother's side by his grandparents, Major Aubrey Eugene Stowers, Jr. and Bette Ann Farris Stowers: Carl Dean Celsor and Vicki Jan Farris Celsor.

Jett was preceded in death on his father's side by his grandparents, J.T. Miller and Leanna Miller Marshall and by his uncle, Greg Alan Miller.
