Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jerome Friesenhahn, who left us peacefully on April 29, 2025, at the age of 95. Jerome was a devoted husband, a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose quiet strength, generous heart, and enduring sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Born in New Braunfels, Texas, on February 8, 1930, Jerome built a life rooted in faith, family, and service. He enjoyed a long and respected career with JCPenney, where he was known for his work ethic, integrity, and dedication. Even after retirement, Jerome continued to serve his community in meaningful ways.

He was instrumental in managing the resale shop at Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Braunfels, Texas, where he gave countless hours to support the parish and those in need. A proud member of the Knights of Columbus, Jerome embodied the values of charity, unity, and faith in both word and action.

Jerome is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Shirley Friesenhahn, his two children, Brian Friesenhahn and Blake Friesenhahn, his four grandchildren, Brandi Everett, Travis Friesenhahn, Lauren Friesenhahn, and Rachel Wheeler and his four great-grandchildren, all of whom were deeply loved and cherished. He was affectionately known as "Grandpa" and "Great-Grandpa," and his legacy lives on in the many lives he touched with his wisdom, humor, and kindness.

Those who knew Jerome will fondly remember his dry wit and well-timed jokes that kept family gatherings full of laughter. He had a gift for making others smile and brought joy even in the smallest moments.

A service celebrating Jerome's life will be held on May 9 at 11AM at St. Philip Catholic Church Flower Mound, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in his memory to St. Philip Catholic Church.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the memories, laughter, and love Jerome gave so freely. His legacy of faith, humor, and service will continue to inspire all who knew him.
