Jenna Leigh Jones, age 21, of McKinney, TX,  died unexpectedly on January, 26th 2025 in her apartment at Abilene Christian University due to health issues.

Jenna was a senior actuarial science major in the Department of Mathematics, with a business minor and was looking forward to graduating in May.

Jenna graduated from Coram Deo Academy, Plano, TX in May, 2021 . She attended Haverford College in Pennsylvania before transferring to ACU in the spring of her freshman year. Upon her arrival at ACU, she began a board game group that met consistently every Friday evening. She was a Teacher's Assistant for several professors in the math department. During her time at ACU, she was actively engaged on campus and participated in the Honors College, ACU for Life, and University Chorale. She served as a member of the Dean's Student Advisory Council for the Onstead College of Science and Engineering. Jenna was a gifted student with a love of learning and her outstanding academic performance earned her ACU Dean's list honors every semester.

Jenna loved traveling and had a special place in her heart for exploring the National Parks. She was a creative person and enjoyed sketching and painting. She loved origami, both simple and complex. Jenna was a self-taught knitter. She loved playing both indoor and sand volleyball and played at Coram Deo Academy, on several club volleyball teams as well as at Haverford College where they advanced to the second round of the Division III Championship. Jenna loved collecting. Her collections include pressed pennies, Pez dispensers, minerals, and a sizable yarn collection. Jenna loved board games and put together jigsaw puzzles easily.

Jenna was a gentle and compassionate person. She loved to laugh and listen to music. She was quick to listen and slow to speak. She loved others well.

She is survived by her loving parents, Kevin and Kristen Jones. Jenna was the cherished granddaughter of James and Elsie Jones and Beverly Lehman. She also leaves behind aunts and uncles who loved her dearly: Steve and Shelley Jones, Mike and Sherry Jones, Anna and Nathaniel Lindley, Carla and Todd Lehman-Yost, Brian and Cara Lehman and Bethany and Jesse Haas as well as multiple cousins.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Frederick Lehman.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her memory on Thursday, February 6th at 1pm. The gathering will take place in the MPR (Multipurpose Room in building B) at Stonebriar Community Church; 4801 Legendary Drive; Frisco TX 75034. Jenna will be laid to rest at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Newville, PA   on Monday, February 10, at 2 pm.
