Jeffrey "Jeff" Kent Ramsey, born December 8, 1961, in Dallas, TX, passed away tragically on July 4, 2025, alongside his beloved wife, Tanya Ramsey, in the Kerrville floods. A true patriot and Lewisville legend, Jeff settled in his hometown with Tanya, the love of his life. His corny dad jokes and boundless warmth turned strangers into friends and friends into family.

Jeff loved his children, Jake and Rachel Ramsey, more than anything, his eyes sparkling with pride as he bragged about them to everyone. To Rachel, in Arkansas working for Frito-Lay, he'd call to "talk chips," tearing up at every goodbye hug. To Jake, a fellow salesman, he'd listen to stories of selling a Polaris to a local country star, beaming with that unforgettable sparkle. An insurance salesman for most of his life, Jeff recently thrived at Miller Group, raving about his company and colleagues. His dogs, Chloe (and Sam before her), were his furry kids—sometimes we swore he loved them almost as much as Jake and Rachel! A fierce advocate for veterans, Jeff poured his heart into ensuring they were honored, a cause close to his patriotic soul.

Jeff was Jake's best friend and the most loving person. As a Christian family, the Ramsey's cling to our "God of Comfort," trusting Jeff's words: "God has great plans for you." He is survived by his son, Jake Ramsey; daughter, Rachel Ramsey; mother, Patricia "Mimi" Ramsey, who turns 91 in October; brother, Kelly Ramsey (Jane), and their children, Mason, Caleigh, and McKenna; and Chloe, now cared for by Jake and Rachel. He was predeceased by his father, Robert "Poppy" Ramsey, a WWII Navy pilot; and siblings, Mike and Robin.

A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Lewisville on August 9, 2025, at 11:00 am.
