Jean Gipson, 91, of Lewisville, TX, passed away July 4th, 2023, after suffering from Alzheimer's Disease for the last 4 plus years.  She was born on August 10th, 1931, in Ashland City, Tennessee to the late Jesse Barnes and Estelle Barnes Kirchof.

Jean moved with her family to Taft, California in 1944 and graduated from Taft High School on June 10th, 1949.  She met her husband Willard Gipson while she attended Taft High School and they married soon after she graduated.  Jean enjoyed a successful 35-year career in the banking industry in California and Texas before she retired to travel throughout the United States with her husband in their RV Van.   Jean was a long-standing member of the First McKinney Church in McKinney, TX.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Gipson; parents, Jesse Barnes, and Estelle Barnes Kirchof; sister, Orlena Thomson and nephews, Tom Morris, Cliff Thompson, Mike Thompson, and Mike Morgan.

Jean is survived by so many treasured family members and friends who she loved and who loved her.  Although she did not have children of her own, she was cherished by her nieces and nephews, Sandi Morgan, David Trimble, Kim Trimble, Lori Miller, Kaitlyn Laney, and Lindsey Dubowy along with their children and grandchildren who will forever hold Jean close in their hearts.

Jean will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Dallas, TX on July 27th, 2023, at 10:15am alongside her husband, Willard Gipson.
