On Monday, May 6, 2024, James "JK" Knight passed away at his home.

James Kenneth Knight was born January 7, 1943, to Melvin and Anne Knight of Perryville, AR. James graduated from the University of Arkansas with his master's degree in civil engineering in 1966. In his 40-year career as a civil engineer, he worked for the cities of Lewisville and Euless, and retired from Team Consultants.

While working for the city of Lewisville he met and married his wife of 48 years, Jackie Knight.

James was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bryant "Ed" Knight. He is survived by his wife, stepdaughter Shelly Minter, son John Knight, three grandsons, and his sister Johnnie Younger of Centerville, AR.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the University of Arkansas Alumni Association's scholarship fund in memory of James. onlinegiving.uark.edu

A visitation will be held Sunday, May 12, 2024, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home.

There will be a service Monday, May 13, 2024, 10:00 am, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home Chapel, 740 S. Edmonds Ln., Lewisville, TX 75067.
