James Freed
October 6, 1943 - May 11, 2025

Beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather and Great Grandfather

James peacefully left us to be with the Lord on May 11, 2025, at the age of 81 after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.

James was married to his high school sweetheart and the love of his life Carolyn Freed for 58 years.

James is survived by his beloved wife Carolyn, his son Brian Freed and wife Jennifer. Granddaughter Claudia Keel and husband Tyler and Great Grandson Brooks. Grandson Conner Freed and Granddaughter Chelsie Freed.
His brother Mickey Freed and wife Sandy.

In addition to his immediate family, James is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends.

James was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and one brother.

James spent his entire life in the Lewisville area. He graduated from Lewisville High School in 1962 where he starred on the football and baseball teams. James went on to play college baseball at Cisco Junior College and graduated with his Bachelors Degree from North Texas State University.
