Ingeborg (Inge) Seidl, 91, formally of Rutland, Vermont, passed away peacefully following a decline in health on September 6, 2025. She was born in Munich, Germany on March 16, 1934. She is survived by her children, John Seidl Jr (Charlene) of Lewisville, TX, Heidi Porter (Pete) of Surprise, AZ and Monika Seidl of Pawleys Island, SC, her grandchildren Melonie Morrow of Fort Worth, TX, David Seidl of Austin, TX, Jacob Seidl of Lewisville, TX, Logan Porter of Surprise, AZ and Cameron Porter of Collinsville, OK and four great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Seidl Sr, siblings Marille Mahl, Resi Stuber and Adolf Braun, and parents Magdalena Stoff and Georg Braun of Germany.

Her earliest memories included walking to school during the chaos of World War II and learning to play the guitar and accordion alongside her brother. Remarkably, the family's parish priest at the time was none other than Joseph Ratzinger, the man who would later become Pope Benedict XVI.

She immigrated from Germany to the United States, working her first job as a seamstress at the Seamless Football factory in Connecticut, where she resided at the time. Her last job, she retired from the hospitality industry at Hogg Penny in Rutland, VT.

Her interests included cooking, gardening and dancing to polka music at the Hartford Liederkrantz in CT. She had many social hours in her kitchen or out on the back deck of her home, admiring the green mountain views with her family, friends and fondest neighbors of Dorr Dr. She loved her German heritage and all the memories of when she lived there.  She was a kind soul who loved her family, friends and neighbors, and all living creatures including her beloved dog, Susie.
