Celebrating a Life Built on Faith, Hope and Love

Ila Faye Largent left us to join her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 28, 2026, less than a month from her 98th Birthday. Faye was born September 21, 1928 in Apple Springs, TX to Babe and Nell Rogers.

Faye had several positions during her life, however, the two she loved the most was wholesale florist at American Florist and Teacher's aide at Carey Middle School and Brookhollow Elementary School all in Dallas, TX.

Faye loved to travel! She loved to cruise and Alaska and Hawaii were her favorite. She did many tour bus trips including Nova Scotia, Niagara Falls, Canada, Branson, Oklahoma, and others. in her mid 70's she did Disney World with her son Perry and his family!

Faye was an excellent crocheter! Until arthritis affected her hands, if she was sitting, she was crocheting! She love to fish, play dominoes, 42, and bingo! Most of all she loved to cook for a big gathering of friends and family! Her buttermilk biscuits, almost the size of baseballs were legendary!! Chicken and dumplings, chicken fried steak, well everything she cooked was exceptional. German Chocolate cake, 7up cake, pecan pies were always in demand from family and church friends.

Faye was a long time member of Royal Haven Baptist Church in Dallas, TX where she served many a day in the kitchen, VBS, and where ever she was needed.

Faye is survived by her daughter, Connie Kirchenbauer of Angleton, TX, son and daughter-n-law Perry and Debbie Largent of Corinth,TX. 5 grandchildren: Kristie (Rick) Pearson, Michael (April) Kirchenbauer, Cory (Jessica) Largent, Kari (Brittany) Largent and Jennie Len Largent. 9 great grandchildren : Chris Pearson, Rebekah (Jacob) Lavender, Layton Kirchenbauer, Keegan Kirchenbauer, Cayden Largent, Sadie Largent. Sloan Largent, Teagan Largent, and Talyn Largent. 2 great great grandchildren Amberlyn and James Lavender.

Faye is predeceased by her parents, her husband 0f 48 years, Dale James Largent, son, James Oren Largent,
grandson, David Matthew Largent, and son-n-law Eugene Ray Kirchenbauer.

The family is requesting donations in lieu of flowers to FCA. Granny supported FCA.
