Grace was born November 15, 1926, near Carrington, North Dakota (recorded in New Rockford).

She married Earl Leroy Suckow July 10, 1953

She departed this life June 28, 2023.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Earl Suckow and five children: Ruth Suckow, Rachael and husband David Lloyd, Joel Suckow and wife Ellen (Eichmann), Jonathan Suckow and wife Olivia (Bryan) and Paul Suckow.  Also by three grandchildren: Elizabeth Suckow, Rebecca and husband Nathan Moss, Philip Suckow and wife Brittany (Traxler) and one great grandchild, Hunter Scott Suckow.

She graduated from Bellingham high school, Minnesota, in 1944 as class valedictorian.  She graduated from Valparaiso University in 1950 with a B.A in sociology.  She served as deaconess and organist at Bethany Lutheran Church, Buffalo NY, for several years before her marriage.

For the first ten years of life she attended Lutheran German church services with her parents and family until the church adopted English services.  Her favorite memory of those early days was the "Vater Unser".  Both sets of grandparents immigrated from Germany in the late 1880s.
