Gail L. Drummond a member of the Dunkirk NY Evening Observer editorial staff for 19 years passed away August 23,2026 in Lewisville, Texas.

Born on April 22, 1931 in Fredonia NY, Mrs.Drummond was the daughter of the late Edward and Hattie Miller Lupean,was a 1948 graduate of Fredonia High School. A Brownie and Junior Girl Scout Leader for many years, she also worked as a Teacher's Aide in the Fredonia Elementary School System for 2 years. Prior to moving to Texas in 1993, she was the Office Manager of Fredonia Cablevision for 15 years.

She is survived by two daughters,Keely (Scott) Gorrill of Lantana Texas and Julie (Steve) Blackstad of Flower Mound, Texas, two granddaughters Leilani Blackstad and Callie Blackstad of Flower Mound and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Charles F. Drummond of Lewisville, a sister Joan Glenzer of Fredonia NY, four brothers, Charles Lupean of Dallas, TX, Edward Lppean of Pennsylvania, Robert Lupean of Ridgeway PA and Norman Lupean of Salisbury,MD. and her beloved canine companion, Penny.
