Esther Lemay, 83, of Lewisville, Texas passed on from the physical world on Monday, April 15, 2024.  She was born Esther Koller, to William and Rose Koller, on January 29, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York.  Her parents owned a dry cleaning store and Esther helped out a lot around the household and with her younger brother, Joseph.  On January 26, 1964 she married Lester Lemay and began 26 years of marriage.  After getting married she lived in several states which included, New York (upstate), Michigan, Connecticut, and New Jersey.  She gave birth to two sons, born in 1965 and 1968, respectively.  The family moved to Texas in 1976 and have remained ever since.  She had lived on her own since 1990 after separating from Lester.

Esther pursued a number of varied interests throughout her life.  These included real estate sales, supply chain management, necktie making, quilting, counted cross-stitch, movies, crossword puzzles, and travel.  She was also an avid reader.  Being a sociable lady, she joined the Greater Lewisville Newcomers' Club shortly after moving to Texas.  She made a number of very good friends with whom she has remained close.  She became very interested in Star Trek in the 1980s, so much so that she headed the project which resulted in Leonard Nimoy receiving a star on Hollywood Boulevard.  She also tried her hand at writing and penned a few respectable short stories.  She was a very strong person who accomplished just about everything to which she applied herself.  She made indelible impressions on everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, brother, former husband, and son, Jeff Lemay.

She is survived by her son, Michael Lemay of Lewisville, TX, her grandchildren; Sarah Rabaey of Rockville, MD and William Lemay of King of Prussia, PA, and her cousin, Ellen Wallach of New York City.  For online condolences please visit www.mulkeymason.com.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to Operation Kindness (her favorite charity) in memory of Esther.
