Eric Alvin Forsythe Jr. passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025 at the age of 48.

Eric was born and raised in Wichita, KS, graduating from North H.S. in 1994. He studied at KU and Wichita State and served as a Newton Police Officer before moving to Lewisville, TX in 2000.

Shortly after arriving in Texas, Eric began pursuing his dream of becoming a pilot. He excelled as an aerobatic pilot and later became a flight instructor, allowing him to share his passion with countless others.

Eric was an adventurer at heart, who not only enjoyed flying, but also sailing, scuba diving and deep-sea fishing. He loved nothing more than sharing those adventures with his son.

Eric is survived by his wife Rebecca, son Sebastian, mother Janet, father Eric Sr., sister Kimberly, niece Jordan and nephews Ryan and Dylan.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents.

Eric will always be remembered as a man who loved his family, a loyal friend and a person who never hesitated to help others.

A memorial to honor Eric's life will be held Saturday, April 5th at Optisky at Addison Airport at 6pm.
