Eliseo Sanchez Ybarra, Sr., passed away on November 1, 2024, at the age of 96. Eliseo was affectionately and respectfully called "Dad" by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was known as "Uncle Larry" and "Tio Cheo" by his nieces and nephews.

Eliseo was well known in his community. He owned a concrete business in Lewisville, Texas, for many years and had a good reputation for running a respectable company. He served in a leadership role throughout his adult life as a member of the Church of Christ. He called his family "his tribe", and his family was his greatest pride. He was a quiet, reserved man with a unique, dry sense of humor; he believed that both difficult and good times could always be made better with humor.

Eliseo is survived by his wife of 72 years, Francisca Ybarra; daughter Emma Sanchez and her husband, David Sanchez Sr.; daughter Esmeralda Moore; daughter Delia King and her husband Van King; daughter-in-law Elva Ybarra; son Abraham Ybarra; and son Eliseo Ybarra Jr. and his wife Sarah Ybarra; grandsons Domingo Lopez lll, David Sanchez Jr., Lucas Sanchez, Robert Castillo, Paul Ybarra, Thomas Ybarra Jr., David Moore Jr., Alan King, and Alex Ybarra; granddaughters, Karen Duncan, Leah King, Michelle Khanin, and Rachel Ybarra; 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Eliseo is preceded in death by his son, Thomas Ybarra Sr; son-in-law David Moore; grandson Edward Olguin; and granddaughters, Tiffany Kaufman, and Kristin Faith Ybarra.

We are sad in the loss of the man who meant so much to his family and church community, and we will miss him greatly. But we are also comforted in knowing that he is now with his Lord and Savior for all eternity.
