Our loving, fun and caring father Edward Jude Bordelon, 82, of Flower Mound, Texas, passed away on June 17, 2024 in Lewisville, Texas.  With both his daughters by his side.  Edward was born in Simmesport, Louisiana  to Eddie John Bordelon and Minnie Marie Moreau on January 2, 1942.  He was a prankster growing up, this didn't end even while he was an adult.

He never met a stranger, enjoyed a cup of coffee, a long drive and to just sit and talk.  He was a graduate of Simmesport High School.  He married Rita (Poier) Bordelon on May 5, 1962 in Rudyard, Montana.

He worked as a cashier for Tom Thumb, in Coppell, Texas for 11 years.  Prior to this he worked for the town of Chester in Montana. He also served the farming community well while behind the parts counter at the John Deere company. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served proudly for 20 years in the United States Air Force. He was active in his church which he attended faithfully at Living Word Lutheran Church located in Grapevine, Texas.

Edward is preceded in death by his loving wife Rita Bordelon, numerous brothers and sisters, and his grandson Cordell Wyatt Letz.

Edward is survived by daughter Larita Murray, son-in-law Scott Murray, daughter Brenda Bordelon, beloved granddaughter Justine Come-Bordelon along with many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am, on Saturday July 13, 2024 at Living Word Lutheran Church, Grapevine, Texas with Pastor Kari Malinak officiating.

Internment will take place at a later date in Montana at the family plot.

Memorials may be given to your local veteran's associations in his name.

Edward's family wishes to thank all our friends and family, all the medical staff that have worked with us in caring for dad. We truly appreciate your help, kindness and love that you showed to him and to us through all of this time.
