Edna Sharon Gay, age 87, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026.

Born on October 15, 1938, Edna lived a life marked by love, devotion, and dedication to her family and friends. She started her career as a flight attendant for Central Airlines and later started a career with Exxon where she retired in 2000.  She touched the lives of many through her kindness, strength, and caring spirit. Her warmth and compassion will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Edna was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Thelma Florence Gardner and William Edward Gardner, and by her cherished husband, Teddy Kyle Gay, Sr.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Rhonda Hudson and her husband, Tobias Hudson, and Cynthia McRoberts and her husband, Jeffrey McRoberts. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Tobias Hudson, Jr. and Abbey Hudson, and a treasured great-grandmother to Sebastian Hudson.

Family was the center of Edna's life, and she found great joy in the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. Her love, wisdom, and unwavering support created a legacy that will continue through the generations she leaves behind.

Though she will be deeply missed, those who knew and loved Edna find comfort in the many memories she created and the lasting impact she made throughout her life. Her life was a testament to perseverance, faith, compassion, and the enduring bonds of family.

A private family graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Park on June 4, 2026.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 740 S. Edmonds Ln, Lewisville, TX  75067 on June 16th followed with a Celebration of her life.
