It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Edith (Knipp) Courtney, on July 31, 2025, at the age of 87 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 68 years, Ray; children: Steve (Pam), Brian (Julie) and Robin; grandchildren: William, Keegan and Miles (Maggie); great grandchildren: Miller, Wesley and Price; her brother: Edwin (Maru) Knipp; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents: Louis and Helen Knipp Sr.; stepmother Gertrude; brothers and sisters: Joe, Arthur, John, Louis Jr, Sr. Virginia, Mary Helen, Gertrude, and Millie.

Edith, always the perfectionist, excelled throughout her professional life ending her career as the executive secretary to both the bank president and board of directors of North Texas Bank.

She enjoyed a myriad of hobbies, including expert level sewing, creating a bountiful array of women's and home fashions over the years.

She loved dancing of all kinds, from ballroom, to country western, to belly dancing.

She was a master home cook and baker, developing many recipes over the years. She loved feeding her family and sharing with friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 am, on August 6th at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, Lewisville Texas.
