Earl Harold Osborn, age 72, passed peacefully in his home, surrounded by family, on April 12, 2026, in Argyle, Texas.

He was born in Waltham, Massachusetts, where he spent his early years surrounded by a large, close-knit extended family who shaped his lifelong belief that community is family.

Earl was a gentle and compassionate man, known by many as the neighborhood dad and the friend you could tell anything to. He was a quiet, reliable, deeply grounded presence who also knew how to bring joy and laughter to a room. At celebrations, Earl could always be counted on to dance until the very last person left, bringing down the house every time.

Family was truly the center of his world.  Earl and his sister Linda grew up training at his mother "Miss Jeanne's" dance studio where they learned to love dancing and performed in dozens of recitals and shows. In his youth, his extended family would vacation together often, spending long summers at the beach or meeting up for ski trips in the winter. He continued this tradition by driving his whole family from Texas to Massachusetts for family reunions and vacations.

Professionally, Earl built a highly successful career in sales, working in aerospace manufacturing and distribution, where he earned a reputation as a trusted, reliable mentor whose integrity and quiet leadership left a lasting mark.

In 1992, Earl and his wife Karen moved to Argyle, Texas, where they faced the challenge of building an entirely new community. Over more than 30 years, Earl created lifelong friendships, a rewarding career, and a home that welcomed all who needed his calm, stable presence. His door and his heart were always open.

While this move did make him a Dallas Cowboy's fan, in his bones he was always a Patriot, never betraying his Boston teams and bringing everyone together to watch and celebrate. Go Pats!

Earl's presence made people feel safe, heard, and valued, and his legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and in the quiet, steadfast faith he always had in God.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Jeanne Osborn, and his sister, Linda Milliken.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Osborn; his children, Kathryn and Steven Fischer, Jennifer and Paul Greenwood, and Richard Osborn; his cherished grandchildren, Molly and Preston Greenwood and Avery Fischer; and nieces and nephew Stacey Reynolds, Colleen English, Richard Milliken and Pamela VanBuskirk and his brother in-law Arthur Milliken

A funeral service will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Flower Mound, Texas, on Tuesday, April 21, at 11:00 a.m.

Additionally, for our family on the East Coast, there will be a Celebration of Life for him this summer where we can reunite, share our stories, and keep his memory alive. Details to come.
