Doug Pyle, 72 years of age, of Lewisville TX., passed away to meet our Lord on July 31st, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.

Doug was born October 23rd, 1950, to Elden and Edna Marie Pyle in Charles City Iowa. He graduated from Charles City High School in 1969. On June 15th, 1981, he married Marie Lubbert at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Charles City Iowa.

Four years later, work opportunities brought them to Texas. He retired from Huffines Chevrolet after more than 30 years of service.

In his spare time, Doug enjoyed hunting, motorcycles, boating, card games, gardening and spending time with family and friends. He was also a devout Catholic. He devoted much of his time volunteering at the Elks Lodge and helping others.

Doug is survived by his wife, Marie Pyle; daughter, Nicole Karr and her husband Ryan of Cedar Falls Iowa; stepsons, Kevin Lubbert and Ron Lubbert and Ron's wife Tammie; his Siblings, Carol Egan and husband Steven of Rockport Texas, Jerry Pyle and wife Ann of Charles City Iowa. He was blessed to have six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepdaughter, Vicki Lux; and great-granddaughter, Zeta Thompson.

There will be a Memorial Service August 18, 2023, 11:00 am, at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church.

The Family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support during this difficult time. In leu of flowers, the family prefers that charitable donations be made to St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church.
