Donald W. Soula, 91, of Flower Mound, TX, passed away on June 10, 2025 in Lewisville, TX.  He was welcomed into the arms of His Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.  He gave his heart to Jesus in 1973 and lived his life for Him ever since.  Don was born on  February 24, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Bill and Helene Soula.  He worked in the Comptrollers division of Texaco for 32 years. He was a proud  veteran of the United States Army, serving in Communications.

Don married Madeline Hoornaert on June 22, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois. He was a devoted, loving husband to Madeline and dedicated, loving, playful father to Donnie and Sandie. He leaves his wife, Madeline, of 62 years, his cherished daughter and son in law, Sandra and Kevin Hahn, his daughter in love, Tiffany Soula Unruh (widow of Donnie and wife of Doug Unruh) , his brother and sister in law, Bill and Jan Soula,  his nephew and wife, Will and Elena Soula and their son , Liam, and Jim and Anne Bevis who led Don, Madeline, Donnie and Sandie into the salvation of Jesus Christ.

Don served as an Elder for many years at WoodsEdge Community Church, The Woodlands, TX.  He was President of the Board of Directors of CSR Ministries for  several years.  He also served as President of the American Payroll Association during his time at Texaco and was a member of the Senior Golf Board of Directors of The Woodlands Country Club.

Don is preceded in death by his precious son, Don E. Soula who was a devout minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ., his parents  Bill and Helene Soula,  and father and mother-in-law Palmer and Glieve Hoornaert.

Don's life will be celebrated with worship, prayer, favorite music, fond memories, and amusing stories in a private gathering.

Don was a mighty man of God who followed Him and loved Him with his whole heart. He so wanted everyone to know that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Him.  (John 14:6)
