Don Leslie "Pudgy" Meadows passed away peacefully at his home in Dickinson, TX, on Thursday, August 6, 2026. He was born in Austin, TX, on September 28, 1944, to Horace Eugene "Buster" and Virginia Meadows. A proud native of Austin, Don graduated from Austin High School and The University of Texas at Austin. He married his beloved wife, Brenda, on September 5, 1981, and together they made their home in Lewisville, TX, where they raised their three children.

Growing up in Austin, Don excelled in sports and loved spending time with his family, especially his four siblings, whom he loved dearly. He had a lifelong love of sports, particularly University of Texas football, but nothing brought him more joy than being involved and present when his children and grandchildren were competing. No matter the activity, Don's greatest strength was being a family man and simply being there. Whether it was volleyball, soccer, cheerleading, baseball, or fishing, Don was a constant and loving presence in his family's lives. He was always ready to offer a helping hand and sound advice to all who loved him—and there were many.

Don is survived by his wife, Brenda, of Dickinson; daughter, Samantha Meadows Daniel, of Cincinnati; son, Adam Meadows, and daughter-in-law, Heather Meadows, of Dickinson; sister, Joan Meadows Bostic, of Houston; brother-in-law, Mark Rose Sr., of Lewisville; sisters-in-law, Nony Meadows and Sue Meadows Brushaber; daughter-in-law, Lisa Daily, and son-in-law, James Daily, of Nacogdoches; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, "Buster" and Virginia Meadows; his son, Will Spencer; two brothers, Wayne and David Meadows; sister, Becky Meadows Lenamond, and brother-in-law, Billy Lenamond; brother-in-law, Eddie Bostic; father-in-law, Sam Rose, and mother-in-law, Mary Jane Rose, and sister-in-law, Cheryl Stauffer.

He will be remembered as a devoted family man and a friend who never met a stranger. His loss will be deeply felt by all who loved him, but his legacy of kindness, love, and laughter will live on forever, as will his witty and dry sense of humor.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 12, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. A service to celebrate Don's life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 13, also at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, TX. A graveside service will be held the following day, Friday, August 14, at 11:00 A.M. at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, TX.
