Dolores Jean Pinion peacefully passed away at her home in Lewisville, Tx on July 27, 2023, after a short illness.  She was 94 years young.

Jean was born on July 12, 1929, in Celina, Tx to Charles Solan and Opal (Timmons) Dennis.  She graduated from Alla Hubbard High School (where she was an all-star basketball forward) in Celina, then spent 2 years at North Texas State Teachers College.

She met the love of her life, Robert Charles "RC" Pinion of Gunter, Texas in 1945.  They married December 21, 1946, in Celina and enjoyed 63 years of life together living in Dallas, Jackson, Ms., and Birmingham, Ala., before returning to Lewisvillle, Tx in 1975.  Jean has lived in the same house since.

Jean and RC were also very active in the churches they attended.  RC led the music and Jean played the piano.  They were both very strong faithful Christians.  You would always find a group of the church youth at their house because they were also Youth Ministers.

They loved their children and supported them in every aspect of their lives.  Even the youth at their church called them Mama Jean and Daddy Art.

Jean had so many wonderful friends she loved to go to breakfast or lunch with, play games with, and have over to her home.  Her friends were all ages.  She never met a stranger.  Her home was the meeting place for family and friends.  It was always a happy, warm, comfortable home!

Jean had enjoyed a lengthy career as an Auto Claims Adjustor with State Farm Insurance Company when she retired.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband RC, and son Ron.  She is survived by her daughter Kay Renfro (Richard), and sons Larry (Ann) and Doug (Teresa); 8 grandchildren (Craig, Brett, Cody, Ryan, Brad, Chris, Rachel, and Sundala); 11 great grandchildren (True, Ethan, RJ, Brianna, Aiden, Maddox, Lively, Brayden, Cade, Dylan, and Grayson.  She had bonus grandchildren, bonus great grandchildren and bonus great great grandchildren.  Also, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She loved them all and they loved her!

The family wishes to thank everyone for reaching out with calls and messages.  We really appreciate and are touched by your love and kindness.  It means more than you know at this time.

Due to the extreme heat, A Celebration of life will be held at the Gunter, Texas Cemetery at a later date.
