Dianne Lea Etheridge entered the kingdom of heaven on July 31, 2023, and is in the presence of our gracious Lord. Dianne was born on July 11, 1944, in Florence, South Carolina, where her father was stationed in the Army Air Corp during the Second World War. After the war, her family moved to Lubbock, Texas, where Dianne spent the years of her youth. She attended Monterey High School and Texas Tech University in Lubbock. She attended computer programming school in Lubbock and worked in the computer centers at Methodist Hospital and Saint Mary's Hospital, both in Lubbock.

Dianne married Mark Etheridge in 1971. After he graduated from Texas Tech, they moved to Lewisville, Texas. Dianne became very involved in their church and with a very special group of friends in a group called Moms in Touch, which met each week to pray for their children and now their grandchildren. That group is still together.

Dianne loved playing team tennis for years with a group of girls that traveled all over the Dallas area to play. She also loved to water ski and go camping on the islands at Lake Texoma with the couple's three girls, Paula, Tiffany, and Britney. These three girls kept Dianne going a thousand different directions all the time and she loved every minute of it. She was always the mom that was ready to do whatever for these girls from choir concerts to gymnastics meets to softball games to cheerleading events and so many football games. Wow, she was one very busy mama who was always there to help.

In 2015, Dianne and Mark built a retirement home and pond on 12 wooded acres on the shore of Lake Ray Roberts. They dearly loved being out of the city and taking walks in the woods and catching big fish from their pond and riding the four-wheeler around. But, that same year, Dianne was diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

In early 2020, the disease had progressed to the point that they moved to Copper Canyon to be closer to the family and doctors. In January 2022, she became a resident in Rosewood Memory Care Center in Flower Mound so she could receive 24-hour care. There she spent her final days with her family and friends close to her.

Dianne is survived by her husband of 51 years, Mark Etheridge and three daughters, Paula Etheridge of Lewisville, Tiffany Dagley and her husband, Nathan of Katy, Texas and Britney Cox and her husband, Robbie of Flower Mound, Texas. She is also survived by one brother, Ralph Garling and his wife, Carol of Irving, Texas. Also survived by eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

It is requested that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Dianne's name in lieu flowers.
