David Bryant was called home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 24, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Childress, Texas, on August 4, 1941, to Maynard and Ruth Bryant, who preceded him in death.

David is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Linda; his son Dewayne Bryant and wife Sherry; daughter Terri Wright; and grandchildren Taryn Cribbs, Preston Cribbs, Cheyenne Wright, Kimberly Bryant, Paul Bryant, and Michael Bryant. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Ellie, who misses him dearly.

David grew up in Vernon, Texas, where he met the love of his life, Linda. After their marriage on May 11, 1963, he proudly joined the U.S. Army, and together they moved to Virginia. When his service was complete, they returned home to Texas, where they built a life rooted in faith, family, and love.

A talented and hardworking man, David could fix anything—a skill that served him well throughout his career as a mechanical engineer. His professional journey included positions at Bell Helicopter, Otis Engineering, Texas Instruments, and finally Raytheon, where he retired in 2007. He was respected by all who worked with him for his craftsmanship, integrity, and strong work ethic.

David was an avid bass fisherman who strongly believed in catch-and-release. He loved the peace of the water and competed in many tournaments over the years. If you ever went fishing with him, you quickly learned there was no talking allowed—it might scare the fish away! His bass boat was his pride and joy, and when they purchased their home, it was chosen specifically because the garage was long enough to accommodate the boat perfectly.

Above all, David cherished his family—especially his grandchildren—and treasured their time together, often watching cartoons with them every weekend.

His faith was central to his life. David faithfully served as an usher and active member for 34 years at Temple Baptist Church in Flower Mound, where he found lasting fellowship and peace.

David will be remembered for his unwavering faith, quiet strength, and deep love for his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 2501 Northshore Blvd, Flower Mound, TX 75028, with Pastor Richard Wallace officiating.

Burial will take place on Tuesday, November 4, at 2:00 p.m., at the Dallas–Fort Worth National Cemetery.
