Daniel Raymond Robinson, 77, of Bartonville, Texas, passed away on October 20, 2025 at his residence 190 Coyote Court, Bartonville, TX with his wife at his side.

Dan was born in Waynesville, Missouri to Gene Francis and Ruth Beatrice Robinson. In 1972, he graduated Magna Cum Laud from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters degree in Finance and Business Administration.

In May of 1973, he married Theresa Elizabeth Knight at St. Paul's Student Center Chapel in Madison, WI. Immediately thereafter, the couple moved to Dallas, Texas. His first job was for First National Bank, Dallas from 1973 to 1976 when Placid Oil, LLC hired him for their Treasury Department. In July of 1981, during a review of his background, he was offered the position of Manager of Refining Operations and Planning of the newly acquired refinery in Port Allen, LA. Dan held many positions with Placid Oil and was CFO and Corporate Secretary for Placid Oil upon its breakup. At this time, he was offered the position of President of Placid Refining, and served in this position until his retirement.  Dan spent 46 years working for Placid Oil and Placid Refining.

Dan is preceded in death by his father, Gene Francis Robinson and his daughter, Rebecca Anne Robinson.

Dan is survived by his wife, Theresa Robinson, his mother, Ruth Beatrice Robinson (who just celebrated her 100th birthday), his brothers Steven, Larry, Mike, and Andy, and his sister, Julie. He has three nieces, three grand-nieces, five nephews and two grand-nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial be will said for Daniel on November 11 at 11:30 a.m.  at St. Philip The Apostle, Roman Catholic Church, 5201 Cross Timbers Rd, Flower Mound, TX 75022.  Msgr. Francis will preside. A reception in the church hall will follow the mass. The interment of his ashes will be at the St. Philip Columbarium at a future date.

My beloved husband of 52 years died with the same grace and dignity as he lived; gentle, patient, and uncomplaining in his illness, and kind to his caregivers. Shortly before he died, I told him I loved him. His final words were, "I love you, too."
