Daniel George O'Leary

October 26, 1951 – March 29, 2026

Daniel "Danny" George O'Leary passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on March 29, 2026, at the age of 74.  A faithful servant of Christ, devoted husband, father, grandfather, teacher, and friend, Danny lived a life marked by service, kindness, and an unwavering hope in the Gospel.

Danny was born in San Antonio, Texas, on October 26, 1951, to Luis and Frances (Sebera) O'Leary.  After graduating from high school in 1970, he moved to Florida to attend Florida Bible College, where he earned a BA in Biblical Studies.

In 1978, Danny returned to Texas to begin a career at Grace Christian Academy.  It was there that he met his sweetheart, Kim Wilhoite; the two were married on June 18, 1983, beginning a life of service together that spanned almost 43 years.  Danny and Kim have two children, Shannon (O'Leary) Hill who is married to Daniel Hill and Daniel "Ryan" O'Leary who is married to Barbara (Burkholder) O'Leary.  Danny's greatest joy was being "Gramps" to Rose, Shawn, Marcus, Trent, and Kameron Hill, and Brooklynn, Connor, and Logan O'Leary.

Danny dedicated over 45 years to Christian education, serving with distinction as both a teacher and principal.  He poured his heart into his students, and his favorite memories were built during State and International Student Conventions, volleyball and basketball tournaments, graduations, Christmas plays, and countless field trips.  While his earthly journey has ended, his influence continues through the many lives he touched and the faith he lived out daily.

Danny will be laid to rest in a private family graveside service at Old Hall Cemetery.
