Daniel "Danny" Gipson, age 52, passed away on June 28, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on March 26, 1974, in Stuttgart, Germany, to Sandra Gipson and was later lovingly adopted by Joe Gipson, who proudly raised him as his son.

Danny lived a life filled with adventure, laughter, and genuine friendship. For 26 years, he worked as a dedicated sleep technician, caring for countless patients with compassion, professionalism, and quiet dedication. He took great pride in his work and in making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Outside of work, Danny found his greatest joy in being outdoors. Whether he was geocaching, kayaking, camping, or exploring new places with the hash, he was happiest surrounded by nature and the people he loved.

Known throughout the hashing community by his hash name, Bedside Spectator, Danny devoted his time to the hash that became his extended family. He proudly served as Beermeister for the Fort Worth Hash House Harriers and the Full Moon Hash, roles he embraced with enthusiasm, generosity, and good humor. Danny was also a founding member of YakH3, helping build a community that welcomed newcomers and created lasting friendships. Through hashing, he found not only adventure but also a family of friends who shared his love of the outdoors, laughter, and living life to its fullest.

Danny had an incredible sense of humor that could brighten any room. He loved making people laugh, telling jokes, and bringing people together. His kindness, wit, adventurous spirit, and generous heart made him someone others naturally gravitated toward. Whether on a trail, around a campfire, on the water, or sharing a beer after a hash, Danny had a way of making every moment memorable.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Katherine "Kat"; his sister, Katie; his brother, Sean; and his cherished nieces and nephews, Felix, Jade, Sage, Sable, and Sandee. He also leaves behind many dear friends who became family and whose lives were forever enriched by his friendship, laughter, and unwavering kindness.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 740 S. Edmonds Lane, Lewisville, Texas 75067. Family, friends, and all whose lives Danny touched are invited to gather to celebrate his life, share stories, and honor the remarkable man he was.

Though our hearts are heavy with his loss, we find comfort in the countless memories he gave us. The greatest gift Danny gave wasn't found on a trail—it was the friendships he built and the laughter he shared. His legacy lives on in every adventure taken, every campfire lit, and every story told by those fortunate enough to have known him.
