Cynthia Lynn "Cindy" Coletta went to meet the Lord and numerous family members and those she loved and loved her May 21, 2024, in Plano, Texas.

Cindy was mother to two beautiful daughters, Kimberley and Stephanie, who blessed her with four wonderful grandchildren (and a cherished grand cat, Evie).

Cindy was born in Houston, Texas February 27, 1949, to Robert "Bubba" and Willie Merle "Bill" Bongio. Being the third of four children, Cindy continued to bring love and joy to the Bongio household. Her elder siblings enjoyed and embraced their "baby sister" enthusiastically. Cindy always strove to honor God and her parents.

Cindy was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. If you met Cindy, you were not a stranger for more than five minutes and she always greeted you with her beautiful smile and hearty laugh. She looked for ways to connect with and find common ground with everyone.

Cindy was always a diligent worker and sought to do her absolute best in everything she undertook. She played tenor saxophone and was a majorette at her beloved DuPont High School. After high school, Cindy chose to begin her professional career. She held numerous administrative positions and always served her staff and superiors with grace and dignity.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Bill Bongio; siblings Louis Bongio and Margilu Lyro; paternal and maternal grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; and spouses James Winsett, James Thrash, and Tony Coletta.

Her memory is left to be cherished by her daughters Kimberly (Chris) Dooty, Stephanie (Ronnie Eanes) Winsett, brother David (Ruth) Bongio, grandchildren Preston, "Mikey", Tyler, and Jenna, nieces Debi (Jeff) Akeroyd and Julie (Hiran) Correa, nephew Kevin Bongio, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews, colleagues, and friends.

Know that Cindy is now healed, whole, and enjoying her eternal reward. She brought love and devotion to all who were blessed to know her. We will hold her memory in our hearts. We will look into the night sky and see a bright shining star – that star will be Cindy brightly and lovingly smiling for you and for me. When you see the star twinkling, remember that is our Cindy winking at you… Saying I love you!

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Cindy.

A visitation and remembrance will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home Chapel, 740 S. Edmonds Ln., Lewisville, TX 75067.
