Crystl Dawn Valkavich, of Lewisville, Texas, passed from this life to the next on September 20, 2025.
Crystl lived her life with a caring heart and a gentle spirit. She dedicated her career to serving others as a home health care provider, where she found true joy in helping and spending time with the elderly. She had a creative soul, always finding happiness in art projects, tending to her plants and flowers, and surrounding herself with music. More than anything, she loved the peace and beauty of the outdoors—whether camping, exploring nature, or simply soaking in the fresh air.
Crystl's love lives on through her daughter, Holly Anne Davidson; her mother, Faye McDowell; her brother and sister-in-law, Jeremie and Nicole McDowell; her granddaughters, Ayden Turk and Amira Alshamardal; her unborn grandson, who was already so deeply loved; her niece, Matilda McDowell; her uncle and aunt, Keith and Karen Thompson; her aunt, Jonell Thompson; and many dear cousins. She also leaves behind her treasured companions—Mona the cat, and her dogs Dori, Daisy, and Peanut—who brought her comfort, laughter, and unconditional love.
She was welcomed into heaven by her father, Michael McDowell; her grandparents, Blanche and E.J. Thompson; and her aunt, Mary Hensley.
Crystl will be remembered for her kindness, her warmth, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
In place of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to the Lewisville Fire Department and EMS, honoring the life of a woman who always put others first.
