Coenraad Josephus Hattingh (Connie), 85, of Denton Texas, passed away on 17 February, 2025 in Denton Texas.  Connie was born in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa to Lodewyk Christoffel Hattingh and Christina Aletta Hattingh on 25th March 1939.  He went to school at Voortrekker High School in Pietermaritzburg.  He married Maryna Elizabeth Naude on 2 December 1959 in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. He graduated from Voortrekker High School and Durban Technical College.  He worked as a Director of Hospital Services for the Natal Provincial Administration for 37 years.

Connie was involved in his church from a young age, enjoyed photography and fishing, participated in running marathons, and practiced martial arts with his sons. He valued every person he met and had a smile that left a lasting impression.

Connie is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Maryna (Bettie) Hattingh, daughter Lizel, brothers Louis Hattingh, Dries van Jaarsveld, Alfred Thompson and sisters Bettie Grobbler and Maria Barnard.

Connie is survived by children Anton Hattingh and wife Susan Hattingh, Marius Hattingh, Pieter Hattingh and wife Tammy Hattingh, sister Silvia Jansen Van Rensburg, grandchildren Lizelle, Wikus, Brooke, Brittany, Trent, Neleah, Leon, Bianca and 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 10am on Friday 21st February 2025 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, Lewisville, Texas.

Celebration of Life will be held at 11am on Friday 21st February 2025 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, Lewisville, Texas with the Overseer De La Rey of the Old Apostolic Church, officiating.
