Christa Jackson, 78, of Flower Mound, TX, passed away on January 13, 2025. She was born on December 18 of 1946 in Berlin, Germany. Christa was the daughter of Heinz (dec 1984) and Anneliese (dec 2003) Casper.  She grew up in a loving family with her older sister, Bärbel "Barbara" (dec 2011) and her older brother, Gert. She married Lee D. Griffen in 1965 (div in 1992, dec 2011) with whom she had two children, Carolin Anne (born 1967) and Sandra Anne (1972-1994).  She later married Robert "Bob" Jackson (dec 2020) in 1994, and they shared 27 years of marriage.

Christa is survived by her daughter: Carolin Griffen Molen with spouse, Jim; her brother: Gert Casper and his spouse Bürgel, as well as Bärbel's (sister) spouse: Tom Needham; her beautiful grandchildren:  Annaliese Molen Davis (sp Sheldon), Michelle Molen Carrraway (sp Kaine), Jessica Molen, and Christina Molen; and her three precious great-grandchildren: Zander, Grace, and Zoey.  In addition, she was blessed to have expanded family gained with her marriage to Bob and is survived by her three stepsons: Tommy Jackson (sp Angela), Alan Jackson (Kathy); Scott Jackson (Kim); grandchildren: Christopher (sp Leslie), Rebecca, Keith, Stuart, Lindsay, Ryan (sp Elizabeth); and another precious great-grandchild: Noah

She is also survived by Lucky, her little dog and the most wonderful companion in her last years.

Christa spoke fondly of her childhood, where she was raised to be thankful for blessings and to honor a strong sense of family. She was a "caregiver" by nature and loved playing the role of "the hostess with the mostest".  Her grandchildren (and all their friends) called her Omi and everyone knew they were the light of her life.  When not busy being the ultimate "Omi", she might be found golfing in one of the 50 states she and Bob toured, traveling to see family, or just sharing a sunny afternoon in the backyard with friends (and their dogs).

Christa wanted to be remembered as someone who made people laugh (even at her expense) or just smile a little brighter.  She also said that when she died, though she knows we will grieve, she wants us to celebrate, raise a glass in her honor, and be thankful that she is Heaven now with our Savior.  So, listen to one of her favorite songs "Amazing Grace", "Country Roads", or a German Polka song and remember her with a smile!

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her honor may be made to Operation Kindness (or any animal shelter), Alzheimer's Association, or Cancer Research Institute.
