Celia Faye (Cato) McFarland was born on March 17, 1957 in Fort Worth, Texas to Lonnie and Nancy Cato.  She passed way on February 28, 2025 in Denton, Texas.

At 17 she met and married Barry McFarland. Together they had three children Lonnie, Traci and Aaron. After enduring much hardship, Celia bravely escaped the dangerous relationship and began a long time partnership with Michael Harris, separating after 20 years together.

Celia's greatest joys in life were her children and the many, many friendships she created over the years. She loved easily and fiercely. She had a strong will and kind, generous heart.

Celia is survived by her children Lonnie (Jill), Traci (Ben) Peterson, and Aaron and her grandchildren Hayden, Dillen, Gabe, Olivia, Madeline, Liam and Eden, and her beloved nieces and nephews .

She is proceeded in death by her parents, siblings, spouse, and life partner.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 5892 Schluter Road, Ponder, Texas on Saturday, March 15th at 12pm.

The family would like to express gratitude to her niece, Sandra Nowlin and staff at Ultimate Plus Hospice and Trio Hospice who showed her love and brought comfort in her final days.
