Catherine Elizabeth Smith, age 51, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 17th, 2025, in Lewisville, Texas.

Lovingly known as Caty, she was born on August 29, 1973, in Dallas, Texas, to Robert Speck and Sheri Colwell. She grew up in Hebron, Texas graduating from The Colony High School in 1992.

Those who know Caty will remember her for her selflessness, beautiful smile and infectious personality.  Caty spent many years involved in youth hockey, traveling around the country to watch her son compete. She enjoyed traveling, scrapbooking, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

Caty began a career at Xerox Corporation in 1995 where she met her husband, David. They were married in 2001 and became loving parents of a blended family.  During her almost 30-year career, she served in a variety of roles and developed many long-lasting relationships.

Caty is survived by her parents: her husband, David Smith of Lewisville; her children Andrew Michael Johnson and wife Haleigh of Tomball and Jordan Leigh Smith of Sanger; her brother Gunar (Kristen) Speck of McKinney; her brothers-in-law Douglas Smith of Bedford, Randall Smith of Grand Prairie and Todd Williamson of A Coruna, Spain; Her grandchildren Hadleigh and Alexander and nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents: her father-in-law Herman Williamson and mother-in-law Lucretia Williamson of Grand Prairie; and her granddaughter Isabella Faith Johnson of Tomball.

Family and friends are welcomed to a memorial visitation on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 6:00-8:00PM at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, Texas.
