Carolyn Jo Moore was born on August 19, 1941 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Edward and Juanita Van Bebber. She graduated from Ada High School in 1959 in Ada, Oklahoma where she was a cheerleader. Carolyn graduated from East Central University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 1963. She was also a cheerleader at East Central University.

Carolyn married William V. Moore on May 30, 1963. She began her teaching career that fall. Carolyn and Bill's first daughter, Amy Suzette, was born on July 24, 1966. Their second daughter, Alicia Ann, was born on April 2, 1970. Carolyn stayed at home during those early years of motherhood and later returned to her teaching career. Carolyn loved teaching children and spent many years teaching 2nd grade and as a reading specialist. She obtained her master's degree in Elementary Education from Texas A&M in Texarkana. After retirement from teaching, Carolyn and Bill moved to Corinth, Texas to be near their grandsons.

Carolyn was active in church at Central Christian in Texarkana and Creekwood Christian in Flower Mound. She shared her gifts in teaching Vacation Bible School and LOGOS children's program. Carolyn also shared her gift of hospitality planning many events at Creekwood and for the Oakmont Women's Club. Carolyn also sang in the choir for many years.

Carolyn loved to entertain, dance, sing, travel, care for others and most of all to spend time with family. She is survived by her loving husband Bill Moore of Corinth, daughter Amy Elias (John Elias) of Lantana, Texas, daughter Alicia May (Randy May) of The Woodlands, Texas, two grandsons Drew and Trent Elias and granddaughter Allie Beth May. She was preceded in death by her parents and her dear Aunt Fern.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Creekwood Christian Church Children's Ministry.
