Brian Douglas Woodley, 75, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 26, 2026, in Lewisville, Texas. Born on April 17, 1950, in London, Ontario, Canada, to Douglas and Mary Woodley, Brian was the eldest of three sons. He grew up in London, where he met the love of his life, Donna.

Brian graduated from Sir Adam Beck High School in 1969 and went on to attend Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto, earning a Bachelor of Technology. He furthered his education by obtaining his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 1977.

Brian began his career as an auditor before transitioning to corporate finance in the petrochemical industry. His work eventually took him and his family to Orange, Texas, in 1988, where they lived until 2000. From there, he was transferred to Leverkusen, Germany. After returning to the U.S., he worked in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and St. Louis, Missouri, before retiring in Lewisville, Texas, to be close to his family.

Growing up in Canada, Brian was a lifelong hockey fan and played weekly until moving to Texas. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and treasured summers spent camping, canoeing, and fishing with his family, especially in Algonquin Park. He was also proud to have achieved the rank of Queen Scout, the Canadian equivalent of Eagle Scout.

Brian believed in giving back to his community and volunteered with several organizations, including the Kiwanis Club, the Red Cross, and the Lions Club. He enjoyed spending time on the golf course at Sunset Grove in Orange, Texas, and took tremendous joy in watching his children participate in their many activities.

Later in life, nothing brought him more happiness than time spent with his children and grandchildren.

Brian will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Donna Woodley, of Lewisville, Texas; his son Dean Woodley and wife Angela of Allen, Texas; his daughter Nicole Woodley and husband Jeremy Keown of Flower Mound, Texas; and his three beloved grandchildren Sasha Keown, Ryan Woodley, and Reese Woodley. He is also survived by his brothers Robert ("Bob") Woodley and wife Susan of Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, and Bruce Woodley of London, Ontario, Canada, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Mary Woodley; and his parents-in law, Wilfred and Ruth Mutch.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 740 S. Edmonds Ln., Lewisville, Texas. There will be a visitation from 1:30 pm - 2:00 pm. Officiating will be Amy Wilkins. Interment will follow at a later date in Lewisville, Texas.
