Brenda Elizabeth Shea-Brown, better known as "Liz" by their loved ones, unexpectedly passed away in Hickory Creek, Texas on May 2nd, 2024. Liz was born in Denton, Texas 26 years ago on June 24th, 1997.

Survived, loved, and forever remembered by their parents, Daniel Brown, Allegra Shea, and Kim Dixon. Their grandfather, Danny Joe Hudspeth; their 2 great uncles: Grady Peterson and Carey Shea. Aunts and Uncles Denton Hudspeth, Kim Beard, Sarah and Jonathan Voelker, Michelle and Jimmy Maynard, and Sadie Brown. Liz's extra grandparents, Carrie and Dan Dixon, step-brother Roman, and 1st cousins Dylan and Jonah. Family friends Heather Daly, Gretchen Wright, Becky Clements, Christi Kerbow, and Shawna Lemon. Many cousins, extended relatives, and other family friends across the country.

Liz was preceded in death by their grandfather Terry Brown; grandmothers Brenda Brown and Elizabeth Shea-Hudspeth; great aunt Ann Shea; family friend CeCe Barr.

Liz graduated from Western Hills High School in 2015, received their Associate of Arts in 2019 from The Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, then went on to obtain their Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics in 2020 from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. In addition to English, Liz was also fluent in three languages: American Sign Language, German, and Mandarin. Before the pandemic, Liz planned on traveling to South Korea to teach English. Liz was also a registered and avid voter, an environmentalist, and had supported the rescue of animals from shelters that euthanize. Jeffrey Combs was their favorite actor from Star Trek Deep Space 9, and John Stuart on The Daily Show, were characters Liz watched avidly on YouTubeTV. Sometimes, even while eating Peanut butter Oreos and drinking black coffee, or an iced matcha with oat milk and light ice - their favorite Starbucks drink.

Honorable mention to Liz's cat Basil Pesto, who loved Liz for the 2 short years after they adopted him from the Flower Mound Animal Shelter. A private family burial will be held later in the summer, where Liz will be laid to rest at the Martin Oaks cemetery in Lewisville, Texas. May we live out their dreams together and Liz would tell us to "eat pasta the way you like it"!
