In Loving Memory of Brenda Mary (Arnup) Robertson
May 20, 1936 – October 21, 2026
Brenda Mary Robertson, age 90, passed away on October 21, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories, lasting friendships, and a legacy of love and devotion.
Born in England on May 20, 1936, to Fred and May Arnup. Brenda grew up alongside her beloved sister, Peggy. Family was an important part of Brenda’s life, and she remained connected to those she loved, including her niece Kathleen, her nephews Peter and Alan, Kathleen’s children, Helen and Paul, and her great-grandchildren, all of whom loved her dearly.
While living in England, Brenda met the love of her life, Robert James Robertson, affectionately known as Robbie. The two married and eventually made their home in the United States, beginning a new chapter filled with love, adventure, and lifelong friendships.
Brenda dedicated much of her professional life to caring for others. Beginning in 1967, she worked as a physician assistant alongside Dr. Weston at Baylor Hospital in downtown Dallas. Through her years of service, she was part of a medical community devoted to helping others, a commitment that became an important part of her life’s story.
Outside of her career, one of Brenda and Robbie’s greatest passions was their love of Bull Terriers. Through this shared interest, they met Steve and Carrol Schmidt and their beloved Bull Terriers. What began as a common love for the breed grew into a deep and enduring friendship. Together, they helped establish the Bull Terrier Club of Dallas, bringing together fellow enthusiasts and creating a community that would become a meaningful part of their lives.
The bond between the Robertsons and the Schmidt family grew especially close when Brenda and Robbie became godparents to Karl Schmidt. Their friendship extended far beyond dogs and dog shows, becoming a treasured part of their family life. Over the years, Brenda and Robbie traveled to many places to attend dog shows, making wonderful memories and building friendships along the way.
Through these adventures, they also met Betty and Jerry White, with whom they formed another strong and lasting friendship. These relationships brought Brenda years of companionship, laughter, travel, and shared experiences. The friendships she built through her love of Bull Terriers became much more than a hobby; they became an extended family that enriched her life in countless ways.
Brenda will be remembered for the life she built with Robbie, her dedication to her work, her love of family, and the enduring friendships she cultivated throughout her life. She leaves behind a legacy woven through the many people who knew her, loved her, traveled alongside her, and shared in her passions.
Though she will be deeply missed, the memories Brenda created will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her life was marked by devotion, companionship, and the special bonds that make a lifetime truly meaningful.
Brenda’s memory will forever be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know and love her. May she rest in peace.
