Bobby Wayne Carter, 92, of Bowie, TX, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2023 in Acworth, GA.  Bobby was born in Grapevine, TX to Herbert Carter and Lovie Lorene Biggerstaff on 03/26/1931. He married the love of his life, Juanita Carter on 2/9/62 in Dallas, TX.

He graduated from Grapevine High School and worked for the airlines most of his career. He was employed by Frontier, Braniff and Texas International Airlines, respectively, until he retired in 1990.  He served his country proudly and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Bobby was a wonderful, loving husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather. He loved the simple life, country music and most of all, family. He enjoyed traveling excursions with mom as it made her so happy. He also liked reading and watching old Westerns. He was a member of the Bowie Presbyterian Church for many years and served as deacon.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Carter, David Wayne Carter, David Alan Carter, Dorothy Truex, Lorene McFarling and Herbert Carter.

Bobby is survived by children, Lee Weller, Grand Prairie, TX, Cheryl Chavez and husband Tony, Ventura, CA, and Mark Carter and wife Fabiola, Acworth, GA; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Memorial Service/ Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12th at the Flower Mound Cemetery located at 1501 Flower Mound Road, Flower Mound, TX.

In place of flowers, you may donate to the charity of your choice in Bobby's name.
