Billie Hendrix Webb, Jr. died on Sept. 5, 2024, in Flower Mound, TX. after a lengthy illness. He was born on Jan. 24,1940 to Helen and Billie Hendrix Webb, Sr. in Teague, TX.

Bill journeyed through a life filled with challenge, achievement and success. He always faced his challenges with enthusiasm and resolve to solution. He was an entrepreneur and enjoyed many hobbies ranging from pottery and woodworking to HAM communications and everything in between. Like his dad he became a 32nd degree mason. He grew up in Los Angeles, CA with his mother where he graduated from Mark Keppel High School in 1958. Bill returned to Texas and graduated from the University of North Texas in 1963; his association with Theta Chi fraternity led to a very important life-long extended family.

He accepted a position with IBM and returned to Los Angeles where he and a group of colleagues eventually left to form their own software company. A few years later found business success and other endeavors; Bill took time off to enjoy some world travel where he became a pilot, took up fly fishing and skiing. He returned energized to purchase and operate "Valley Electronics"in Sacramento, CA. It was during this time that he became involved with law enforcement and a new chapter in his life. He worked his way up to 1st Lieutenant with the Sacramento Sheriff Department Reserve Unit and went to work for Sacramento Superior Courts as a Network Administrator.

In his spare time, he became an avid woodworker alongside his stepfather, George DeYoe. His marriage to Marsha began new adventures that led back to Texas; his final return found him with new friends participating in an old hobby as a HAM radio operator. The group called themselves a 'Hamily' and routinely challenged themselves to push the boundaries of their communication skills. He also re-acquainted with members of his college fraternity who remain in touch today after 60+ years.

Bill is survived by his wife, Marsha; sisters, JoAnn Miller and Melinda Harville; nephew, Kevin Harville and his family; as well as many cousins. He will be greatly missed by all.

There will be a Celebration of Life service Thursday, September 19, 2024, 11:00 am, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home Chapel, 740 S. Edmonds Ln., Lewisville, TX 75067. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
