Bianca Currie a long-time resident of Lewisville, TX passed away Sunday November 5th after an almost 8-year battle with Alzheimer's.

Bianca, also known to many as "Aunt B" was a devoted Catholic and former parishioner at St Phillip the Apostle Catholic Church.

Bianca was 9 years old when her family moved to the United States from Abruzzo, Italy. After living in New York for 40 years, Biana followed her daughter and grandchildren to Lewisville, TX in 1976. She thoroughly enjoyed her very first job in Texas, at Braums on Fox Ave. After leaving there, the remainder of her career was working at Mervyns Dept store for over 25 years. After retiring, she spent all her time doing the things she loved most. Taking care of her garden, sewing, and traveling the world. From Alaska to Turkey to the Panama Canal, her travels were a big part of her life.

Bianca is survived by her daughter Lucie Melledy (Tom Cucina), her sons J. Robert Currie (Lorna), Rocco Currie (Jamie Martin-Currie)

Grandchildren Amy Hughes, Melissa Hudson, Michael Currie and Dr. Brian Currie, DMD along with several nieces and nephews and close friends.

Bianca was preceded in death by her two brothers, her sister, parents and her first Grandson.

A private family memorial will be held later.
