Beverly Seay was born on December 15, 1937, in Woodville, Texas, Tyler county to Grover and Ruby Die. She attended grade school in Bridge City, Texas; High School in Orange, Texas and graduated at age 16. She attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, earning her bachelor's degree in education and graduated in 1958. She received the last teaching certificate in Texas for all grades and all subjects.

She married Elwyn Seay on July 27, 1957, with one year left in college. She spent 23 years teaching full time and 3 years part time in the public school system.  She taught kindergarten and grades 4th, 6th and 12th grade English. She taught in Caldwell, Irving and Burleson retiring in 1993 due to having hearing in only one ear.

Her three children were all born in Oklahoma. Stephen Seay, born July 30, 1961; Shana Allmon, born January 15, 1963, and Jeffrey Seay, born July 6, 1964. She lived in Beaumont, Texas where she went to college; Caldwell, Texas teaching 12th grade English; Irving, Texas teaching 6th grade; Duncan, Oklahoma following her husbands' job; Burleson, Texas following her husband's job and teaching kindergarten and 4th and 6th grade English. Cleburne, Texas retired.

Beverly and Elwyn both after retiring started ranching near Hico, Texas and breeding and raising white tail deer until fully retiring and moving to Cleburne.  She passed away on July 12, 2026, lacking 15 days being married for 69 years.  She was an active member of the Fort Worth Women's Club from 2000 until 2016 and served as president for one year.

Beverly was known for always having a positive attitude towards life and was not one to complain. Although she was unable to bear children she and Elwyn adopted three children as infants and they became the highlight of her married life. She approached her dementia with grace and not anger and did not let it deter her life. She always had a positive attitude and was positive in telling her loved ones that she loved them.

Beverly and Elwyn loved to travel the world. They visited Europe many times with their children and grandkids. They also visited the far east and Australia and New Zealand.

She is best described as the perfect wife, always supportive but giving her opinion. Raising three outstanding children was a joy and helping to establish their values was her goal. She was always able to work out problems and never went to bed mad and shared almost 69 years of marriage with her husband, Elwyn.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Judith Haney. She is survived by her husband of almost 69 years, Elwyn Seay, sister, Jan Barnett and her husband, Curtis, three children, Stephen Elwyn Seay and his wife, Jodi, Shana Allmon and her husband, Scott and Jeffrey Alan Seay and Susan Meister and many grandchildren, family and friends.
