Beulah Maude Freeman Chapman, 90, of Lewisville, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on December 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Beulah's life was one marked by faith, service, and a deep commitment to family and community.

Born on March 2, 1935, in Pope, Mississippi, Beulah was the daughter of Hubert and Bessie Freeman. She graduated from Pope High School in 1953 and went on to earn her certification from the Memphis School of Commerce in 1954, where she studied executive secretarial bookkeeping, shorthand, and accounting. With a sharp mind and strong work ethic, she began her career at H and S Printing Company in Memphis, Tennessee.  She continued her career as administrative assistant to her husband James at Chapman's Welding Service in Lewisville.

On October 13, 1956, Beulah married the love of her life, James Earl Chapman, in Pope, Mississippi. Together they built a family and a legacy centered around love, faith, and hospitality. The couple welcomed their son, Kirk, in 1958 while living in Memphis, and later their daughter, Teresa, after relocating to Euless, Texas, for James's career with United Transports. In 1964, they settled in Lewisville, where they made their forever home for 61 joyful years.

Beulah was known for her incredible gift of making a house a home. Her warmth, generosity, and creativity defined her daily life. She was a talented homemaker, accomplished seamstress, inspired cook, and meticulous gardener. Her flair for Southern cooking and baking became legendary among family and church friends. Each year, her desserts raised more than a thousand dollars at church auctions to support children's camps—one of many ways she used her talents to bless others. Beulah's hands and heart were always busy: stitching clothing and quilts, nurturing her garden, or preparing a welcoming table for all who entered her home.  She enjoyed hosting weekly card games in her home with her good friends where she could be heard saying, "Count 'em up, girls," with her bright smile and competitive spirit.

A faithful servant of Christ, Beulah was a charter member of Northview Baptist Church in Lewisville. Over the decades, she filled many roles—Sunday School teacher, choir member, church clerk, and hospitality chairman—each carried out with humility and grace. Her devotion extended beyond the church walls through her involvement with children's and community activities. She taught sewing and cooking to local 4-H club members, served as a room mother for her children and grandchildren and most recently, her teacher granddaughter's classroom at Flower Mound High School, supported scouting programs, and even took on the role of "Team Mom" for local baseball and softball leagues.

Beulah was preceded in death by her husband, James Chapman in July 2025; her parents, Hubert and Bessie Freeman; her brother, Rudolph Hughes; and her sisters, Chelsea Still, June Hyde, Sylvia Smith, and Peggy Towles. She is lovingly survived by her son, Kirk Chapman and wife Wendy; daughter, Teresa Chapman Wells and husband Ken Wells; Granddaughters  Amanda Sessums, Molly Stevens, and Emily Wells; Grandsons James (JD) Wells and wife Erica; Heath Wells and wife Whitney; Bonus Grandsons Nathan and Jason House;  Great Grandchildren  Jolie Wells, Brady James Wells, Sadie Wells, Heely Stevens, Makayne Stevens, Bryson Sessums, JD Brown, Makenzee Sessums, and one on the way in May; Great-great grandson Korbyn Sessums;  and many dear friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

A visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. on December 31, 2025, followed by a Celebration of Life Worship Service at 10:00 a.m. at Northview Baptist Church in Lewisville, Texas. Officiating will be Beulah's son-in-law and pastor, Ken Wells. Committal will follow at Old Hall Cemetery. Pallbearers include Kirk Chapman, James (JD) Wells, Heath Wells, MJ Leak, Bill Ridinger, Luke Stribling, Clifton Blackburn, and Johnny Wood.

Beulah's family expresses appreciation to many special friends who devoted extra time to her care: Linda, Sharon, Susan, Christi, Melissa, Carla, Anna, and Kim.
